I founded Storyboard Weddings from some simple concepts. I was getting married. I was a video production professional that works on television commercials, training videos and others. I found myself looking at the work of many wedding videographers who would produce my own wedding video. I expected to find videographers who like me would use their knowledge and equipment to create the very best production they possibly could. I was disappointed because no one seemed to offer something I would want for my wedding video. I was looking for a video made like any other, one that used production equipment besides the standard 3-chip broadcast quality cameras. I wanted someone who was producing a video that I would love to have and be happy to show to others.

One that included everything important about my wedding, and carefully left out many unnecessary clips. I was also surprised at the lack of planning that many wedding videographers actually do with their clients. I would want someone to get to know me, and my personality; to be sure my video would reflect that. I would want someone who would do what any professional should, plan with me, and give me suggestions. Additionally, they should know my ceremony site by attending my rehearsal, know ahead of time how to get the best shots at the reception hall, and know ahead of time what my photographer was planning on doing to best work with him/her professionally, so we could all benefit together. To me those were simple concepts, and they are now the basic ideals of Storyboard Weddings.
